The CGS financially supports members of the Faculty of Humanities who organize an event (conference, workshop, guest lecture, etc.) at the University of Bern. The event must have an interdisciplinary character and deal with global issues. The funds can be used in accordance with the regulations on expenses of the University of Bern (e.g. including catering costs).
Applications are accepted by the Director and approved by the CGS Direktorium.
Deadline: 31 October for the following year.
Maximum amount: Active members of the CGS can apply for up to CHF 2'500, other faculty members up to CHF 1'500.
Your application in PDF form (no longer than 4 pages) includes information about
- the applicant
- the project description
- the event's interdisciplinary character
- the event's connection to global studies
- your budget and financial plan (including other planned and already acquired sources of funding; we only support costs that can be paid by "Betriebsmittel")
- the schedule
After the conference has been held, a brief summary (title, date held, organizers, participants and, if applicable, flyers) must be sent to the director by the end of the year.
