In addition to its research activities, the CGS offers a bachelor's programme and five master's degree programms: Latin American Studies (MA), Eastern Europe Studies (BA/MA), Religion in the Present Day (MA), World Literature (MA) and World Arts and Music (MA).

For interested PhD students, the CGS offers an interdisciplinary doctorat program in Global Studies, which creates numerous prerequisites for further education and networking opportunities. In addition to offering workshops, the CGS Forum is a central exchange platform with changing topics and international speakers. Students are also offered  international exchange programs, which includes study options at foreign partner universities and also participation in such international programs as the Summer School of the Institute for World Literature.
