Dr. Stefano Condorelli

Stefano Condorelli is associate researcher at the Center for Global Studies of the University of Bern, and associate member at the Collaborative Research Centre “Threatened Order - Societies under Stress” of the University of Tübingen. From 2013 to 2017 he held an advanced postdoc fellowship from the Swiss National Science Foundation. In the course of this fellowship, he was a visiting associate/fellow in the universities of Yale, Rutgers, Cambridge, Oxford, Paris School of Economics, and Caltech. He received is Ph.D in 2011 jointly from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales and the university of Geneva. His first book was about the 1693 Sicilian earthquake. His current research focus on the global history of the 1720 financial boom.
