Migration: Pooling expertise – providing impetus – setting basics

The current state of migration is stimulating a great deal of new research and theoretical reflection and calls for increased research cooperation, including at the University of Bern. MIKO takes this desideratum into account. Approaches developed in the humanities, social sciences and cultural studies are networked under the umbrella of the Walter Benjamin Kolleg and brought into a transdisciplinary dialog with other subjects such as law. This enables various forms of cooperation in research and teaching.

The research cooperation sees itself as an open forum.

It is coordinated by Dr. Francesca Falk (francesca.falk@unibe.ch), lecturer in migration history.
