The CGS is a center for interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research in the Humanities Faculty.

The Center for Global Studies is

1. a forum for scientific debate on the cultural processes of globalization for students and academic staff

2. a study center offering four interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary curricula at the Masters level:

• MA in Ancient Cultures and Constructions of Antiquity
• MA in Latin American Studies
• MA in Religious Cultures
• MA in East European Studies

3. a center for post-graduate programs offering further education and exchange opportunities among doctoral candidates.
