The current migration situation is currently stimulating numerous empirical research projects as well as theoretical reflections and calls for increased research cooperation at the University of Bern as well. MIKO takes this desideratum into account. Approaches developed in the humanities, social sciences and cultural studies are networked under the umbrella of the Walter Benjamin Kolleg and brought into a transdisciplinary dialogue with other subjects such as law. This enables various forms of cooperation in research and teaching.
The research cooperation sees itself as an open forum.
